Social media is a tool that can be used for good or bad, depending on how it is used. On one hand, it allows for connection, community building, and the sharing of information. On the other hand, it can lead to negative consequences like cyber bullying, addiction, and mental health issues.
Today, students are being pushed to think about college as early as middle school, with the belief that early preparation is the key to success. However, this pressure can lead to stress and burnout, ultimately harming a child's natural curiosity and love of learning.
As you leave here today, remember that the most fulfilling journeys are rarely the most obvious ones. Don’t be afraid to follow your own path — even if no one else can yet see where it leads.
While children shouldn't have the same privacy rights as adults, they deserve the chance to develop a sense of privacy in a safe, protected environment—one that allows them to grow with their age and maturity.
Now that I am graduating from this school and moving on, I can reflect on the things that I wished to do or what I have actually been able to accomplish.
Everyone has that will in them to go just that much harder to achieve what their goal is, and it is your volition to go and push yourself to reach that point and beyond.
