Never Ending Spirial

Good morning everyone

I would like to start off by saying we did it. We survived high school.

Now, when I say “survived,” I mean that in the most literal sense. Because let’s be honest there were moments during these past four years when it felt like our only achievement was making it through Monday… every Monday… for four years.

High school was a rollercoaster…except the safety bar was loose, the ride operators were asleep, and half the time we didn’t know if we were on a loop or just emotionally spiraling. Remember freshman year? We walked in with fresh backpacks, high hopes, and absolutely no idea what we were doing. The biggest question back then was, “How many laps can I take around the school before getting told to go back to class”  Some of us got our names called over the intercom. And that’s okay. We adapted. We survived.

Then came sophomore year, otherwise known as, the forgotten middle child of high school. That was the year we thought we knew everything… and still got lost trying to find room 157. We discovered that yes, you can pass a test you didn’t study for, but also that teachers have memories like elephants and internet access… Suddenly, quizlet and mathway was not enough. We had to read books and take notes… Tragic, I know.

Junior year also known as “The Hunger Games: College Edition.” That year was just a blur of caffeine, stress, and Googling “how to calculate GPA while crying.” It was the year we all became fluent in CollegeBoard and the art of pretending we had it all together when inside we were one group project away from a breakdown.

And senior year? Well, we spent most of it wondering if this day would ever come. There were senioritis symptoms that were way more contagious than the flu. Somehow, we wrote essays, filled out applications, and still managed to show up…well most of the time.

But we’re here. Soon we’ll be dressed in caps and gowns, radiating equal parts of pride and confusion. Because now that high school is over, the question is no longer “how many hours of membean can I do in one sitting.” Instead the question is “What now?”

The truth is, life after high school does not come with an answer key. But that’s okay because if high school taught us anything, it’s that we’re irritable, stubborn, and way more capable than we give ourselves credit for. We’ve navigated awkward lunches, impossible exams, friendship drama, gym class, and worst of all…group projects.

We’ve made memories. We’ve made mistakes. And most importantly, we’ve made it.

Remember to thank the teachers who never gave up on us even when we turned in assignments at 11:59 PM.  To every one of you, you are proof that perseverance, laughter, and maybe a few lucky guesses on multiple-choice tests, can take you far.

So as we head into the world beyond these hallways, let’s take with us the lessons, the laughs, and the knowledge that we’ve gained from tackling an absolute rollercoaster of four years.

Congratulations, Class of 2025 We made it

Thank you
