Being new

Hey everyone, Class of 2025! As we wrap up this school year, I wanted to share a few thoughts with you all. Honestly, it’s hard to know where to start, but I feel like it’s important to reflect on my time here at Oak Hill.

I haven’t really gotten involved in a lot of the big events or activities, but I’ve been focused on my studies and managing the day-to-day routines of classes, projects, and exams. Looking back, my English class has been the toughest for me. There were times I felt like my teacher was a bit harsh and really pushed me, and it was tough to see the value in that at first.

But now that the year is coming to a close, I’ve realized he was just trying to prepare us for what’s ahead, especially for college. His feedback really did help me improve my writing and critical thinking skills, and I think I owe him a thank you for that. I appreciate his dedication and the way he held me accountable, and I truly have no hard feelings about it.

I’m excited to move on from Membean and start my journey as a college freshman. It feels like I have a fresh start and a chance to explore new interests. I want to get involved in different activities, join clubs, and go to events, but I also plan to keep an eye on my academic workload so it doesn’t get too overwhelming. I’m looking forward to balancing my studies with all these new experiences and making some great memories along the way. I really appreciate all the friends and new people I’ve met during my time in Oak Hill. Every one of them has added something special to my experience at the school. As I pick my courses for the fall semester, I’m excited about all the new things I’ll learn in classes. I hope to find subjects I genuinely enjoy, as I’m eager to see how they might shape my future. Well, this is my farewell to the Class of 2025. Thank you, and goodbye.
