All Around Activy Guy

Edesmond26 is a sporty and active guy who loves playing basketball and traveling around. During his free time, “ I like being active and doing stuff,” like playing basketball, which is his favorite sport. He also goes on adventures for the thrill of it.

When he was creating his own avatar and his elements, he came up with different types of elements. He drew a picture of a basketball. I asked him what symbolizes to him, and he just said sports and that he chose the element because it was his favorite sport to play. Then he also chose a Compass rose that was green and blue and had N,E,S,W on it, and that symbolized traveling. Then I asked him why he drew a compass rose, and he said, “ I like to travel”. He also had a drawing of a heartbeat line that was red, and then I asked him what this meant and why he chose this. He said I drew this because of the thrill, and it gets you going, and the last thing he drew was a money sign that was green and a little black for the outline of it, so I asked him the last time why he chose a money sign as an element, and he said I like money.

The most important element to me was the heartbeat or the compass rose because I didn’t know what they meant to him. I thought the heartbeat line was a sign of him wanting to be a doctor or just going into the medical field, but he actually meant he just likes the thrill, and it keeps him going sometimes. Then the compass rose. I thought he liked being out in nature, or he was part of the Boy Scouts, but it actually means he likes to travel around. I thought of the complete opposite of what he drew in the small box that we were given, and then he started to explain what they actually meant, and then they started to come together.

His process was that he picked a couple of his elements that he liked  and combined them together into one big art piece that he colored with different colors. In the top left corner, there was a green money sign. Underneath the money sign, there was the heartbeat line that was read. One side of the heartbeat line was going into a basketball that was orange and black. The basketball was right next to the compass rose that was in the bottom right corner, and the color he used, green, had an outline meant for the land, and inside the drawing was blue for the water/ocean.
