Dry Hair Solutions

The amount of products that can be used or made into masks to benefit hair are countless. There are types for greasy hair, dull hair, nappy hair and dry hair. A few amazing around the house products for dull, dry and over processed hair could be; coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, shea butter, honey, and egg yolks. Most of these are rich in vitamins and antioxidants which are amazing for hair growth and renewal.

Coconut oil is an especially great product for hair because it conditions and moisturizes every strand of hair. This type of oil contains antiseptic fatty acids that helps the scalp and hair preventing dandruff and the scalp being itchy. Smoothness is a plus using coconut oil, and the amount of moisture is contains is amazing for dry hair especially.

Honey is another beneficial and amazing treatment for hair. Its a natural moisturizer that locks nourishment into dry hair. The addition of honey to a coconut oil based homemade hair mask would be useful for its extra shine to the hair, and extra vitamins and minerals added.

Egg yolks are a very healthy fat you could choose to add to your hair products. They nourish the hair strands that add not only shine but also strength for the hair. This is a great revitalizer that adds softness for dry hair, and can help transform dullness to silk.

Olive oil is my personal favorite homemade product for a hair mask. I like to mix this with honey, and together, in just one night, can transform brittle dull over processed hair, to silky, shiny, and strong hair. Olive oil has a great amount of vitamin E and this helps hydrates and moisturizes hair, and honey just adds an extra umpf that works great with my hair.

These are just a few within the multitude of things you can add to your daily hair care routine. I’ve noticed a difference in my hair using them just a couple times a week.
