Dessert Lasagna

You know how lasagna is a meal made up of layers of some of the best foods out there(cheese, pepperoni, pasta, more cheese!)? Well this delicious dessert takes after it’s well-known brother by containing several of the sweets America knows and loves. The ingredients needed to create this dish are:

36 Oreos

6 Tablespoons butter, melted

8 ounce package of softened cream cheese

1/4 Cup granulated sugar

2 Tablespoons of cold milk

12 ounces of cool whip

8 ounces of instant chocolate pudding

3 1/4 cups of cold milk

1 1/2-2 cups of mini chocolate chips

To begin creating this dish we will begin with the crust. Either using a food processor, or by a hand held grinder, mash up all of the oreos and place the crumbs in a stainless steel bowl. Next slowly pour in the melted butter while stirring the mixture. Once mixed, pour the sticky mixture into a 2-inch deep rectangle cake pan, and press it all along the bottom to form a crust. Place this crust in the refrigerator while the filling is being prepared. To begin the filling, place the cream cheese in a separate bowl and mix with an electronic mixer (can be manual if needed) and beat it until it is light and fluffy. Next add in the two tablespoons of milk and the 1/4 cup of sugar, and mix it well. After it is all combined, gently stir in 1 and 1/4 cups of cool whip until it creates a creamy filling. At this time, take the crust out of the fridge and spread the filling mixture evenly over the oreo-butter mixture. In another bowl, take the 3 and 1/4 cups of cold milk and combine it with all of the instant pudding, whisk the two until the mixture becomes a delicate yet thick pudding substance. Then carefully pour the pudding over the cream cheese mixture, and spread evenly and neatly. Place this product into the fridge for about five minutes in order to allow the pudding to firm up so the layers stay in tact. Once this time has passed, take the pan out of the fridge and spread the remaining cool whip over the chocolate pudding layer. Once every layer is in place, top off the delicious dessert with whatever amount of chocolate chips you please. Place the finished product into either the freezer for an hour or so, or in the fridge for any where between three and four hours. Once cooled off this delicious, unique dessert is ready to present and likely to impress your dinner guests!

This looks really good! Is this hard to make? Also can you use other types of cookies to make different versions of this?

@Vmorris15 It’s very simple to create actually! And you could use any cookie you please as long as it can be crumpled into very very small pieces, you could also change the pudding flavor!

My mom makes this and calls it chocolate lasagna. It is probably my favorite dessert. I personally like a little extra whip cream on it.
