Healthy Living

Having the ability to Laugh at different situations is key to living a healthy life.  Being able to laugh when you have the made the stupidest mistake in the world. LIfe is too short to be up tight all the time and not be able to laugh ever once in a while.  This is very evident in sports, where it is very easy to be uptight not wanting to laugh or just relax. It makes the sport a lot more fun when you are all out there having a good time laughing and having a good time rather than being all uptight not having fun.  It’s hard to go through life especially high school without laughing. High School is just the stepping stone to go anywhere in life. You need a highschool diploma to do anything now a days but it isn’t something you shouldn’t be able to look back at certain things.  Little or big nothing is too big or too small to have the ability to laugh at.
I played high school hockey at my previous school for two years and then took my junior year off to play just for the Maine Moose.  I was playing plenty of hockey just playing for the Moose as we had an 82 game schedule. There was a lot of time in that season to look back and laugh at and at the time I laughed about it too.  This year I have had a lot more of those times that I have been able to sit back and just laugh at a challenging time. I am a goalie in hockey and that puts a lot of pressure on me to perform as everyone is looking and watching be at all times.  It has been a dramatic change in skill and knowledge about the game from last year to this year. When coach is explaining a drill and nobody can execute a drill correctly. That was not the case the year before or even the year before as we were a team that was competing for a national championship at the end of the season.  This has been the norm for the Maine Moose as every year they have multiple teams at the national championships in April. As for me it has been a lot of laughs at different events or situations i have come about this year playing for the high school.
Lacrosse has been a big part of my life throughout high school along with my two brothers.  We always go outside and play pass to get out of the house and have fun. I was a freshman when my older brother was a senior, which meant we got to play together for one year.  That year was filled with many ups and downs and lots of laughs as we went 0-12 that year. Although my brother was one of the best goalies in the state and we had some good players we never won a game.  Moving on from that year I went to Oak Hill and we had an amazing year dominating our class and having a great time doing it. There were many moments throughout the year that we laughed about and we had a great time as a team with a lot of fun kids to be around and great coaches.  we laughed a lot but there was one moment that stuck out to me the most during a game we were winning by a lot and it was in the 3rd quarter when i was trying to get the ball from a defender. The ball was on the ground and i went to go pick it up and the defensevmen took it and threw it over my head and grabbed it without me even having a chance to touch him or the ball making me look stupid.  Everyone saw it on my team and in the stands and I could hear everyone on my team and even in the stands laughing at me.
High School has been filled with many ups and downs.  There are many different things that i have been about to laugh about throughout it.  High School is a time to hangout with friends and start a path toward your career later in life.  High School is one of the major stepping stones to getting a career and starting a family and a life of your own.  Having the ability to Laugh at different situations is key to living a healthy life.

Being able to laugh in all situations is an important skill to have. not everything has to be bad and bring you down if you don’t want it to. Good luck to you and I hope you keep laughing.
