Science Rules

This quote is important because even though everyone may not like school there is something everyone like to learn about or dig deeper in. Mine happens to be science. Science comes naturally to me and I am always intrigued and eager to learn more. A specific incident was knowing I love science, I wanted to challenge myself and learn at a higher level, so I took AP Bio to expand my knowledge. This “lit” a fire inside me. It was definitely a challenge and not everything that was coming easy before was coming easy to me, but that made the experience better. I had always thought I wanted to go into the science or medical field and after taking that class it definitely solidified my decision. It sparked a “fire” inside me and I then decided I wanted to do my capstone on a job shadow in the science field. After talking with a fe different people and having a number of roadblocks, I finally found success. After I did the job shadow I realized science was my passion and what I want to pursue in life. It made me excited and I felt good knowing that I enjoyed my job shadow and science courses, and I had finally decided what I wanted to do specifically with my future. I learned and took away so much from AP Bio learning at a higher level and challenging myself. It helped prepare me for my job shadow because I went in to my job shadow not completely clueless. During my job shadow I was able to pick up on things quickly and learned so much new information. I had so many great opportunities, in and out of the classroom with science. All of my science classes had an immense effect on my future life decisions as did my job shadow. Besides from my experiences in the classroom and at my job shadow, there are some people who “lit” this fire inside me because they always pushed me to challenge myself and never give up and always believed in me and knew I could do it. The quote by Yeats relates to my story because it means like it’s not the “filing” of information and learning about all kinds of different things but the sparking the interest and learning about what you like and are good at or interested in. Some of my teachers, my family, my friends and my coworkers have such a huge part, as they are a huge support system and push me and encourage me to challenge myself to meet my goals. I think the decisions and the plans I have for the future going on to study Biology is an appropriate decision as it has for sure “lit” a fire inside me.

I also enjoy science classes and anything medical related. Job shadowing is really fun and extremely educational especially if it is one that you want to do in the future. I know that when I job shadowed for capstone that a nurse would be the perfect job because it was exciting. It is a good thing that you have people to push you and that you challenge yourself.

This is very similar to my high school experience. I was influenced very strongly by my science classes through my high school career. These classes have helped me decide on my future as well. Although I never took AP Bio or any other high level science class, Chemistry inspired me to pursue a future in pharmacy.

Pushing yourself to do your best and succeeding I love hearing. I have always loved taking science class, asking for more and pushing to do better. Going into a medical field is not easy, but always pushing and doing your best will get you there with no problem.
