Get to know Bdumais22

Bdumais22 is someone who loves basketball, Jan’s mac and cheese, and her childhood dog Majik. Bdumais22 had a very unique avatar. Her avatar was made up of three different symbols. She used a circle with a cross inside, both outlined in black. There was also white on the inside. On the outside, which is the background, it is colored yellow. The part of Bdumais22 avatar that grabbed my attention was the circle with the cross on the inside. This grabbed my attention because it could have meant many different things and I was not sure what it represented. 

 When I asked my Bdumais22 what her symbols were and what they meant she explained that her symbols all represent things that she loves. The circle represents a basketball because it is in the shape of a circle. She chose this because she loves playing basketball. The cross represents her dog Majik who has passed. Lastly, the yellow background represents the color of her favorite mac and cheese. 

When creating our own avatars we had many similarities in the way we formulated them. The main focus of both of our avatars were things that we like. Bdumais22 likes basketball, Majik, and Jan’s mac and cheese. I like field hockey, hiking, and the beach. Something that was different when creating our avatars was that I was looking to put down things that I like to do or places I like to be, whereas Bdumais22 had two items/things that she likes and one thing she likes to do. 

To get to know a little about Bdumais22 I asked her a few questions. I asked when she first started playing basketball, she said “I have been playing basketball for as long as I can remember. I think by the time I started walking I started playing”. Bdumais22 clearly has loved playing basketball since she was very little. When I was talking to Bdumais22 about her dog Majik she explained, “I got Majik when I was about two years old”. She loved her dog very much but she sadly passed away a few months ago. Bdumais22 favorite food is Jan’s Mac and Cheese. Jan is her Field Hockey coach. When she has far away games, the coaches and team parents put together a meal for the girls to eat after the game. Bdumais22 says “the first time that I had Jan’s mac and cheese was my freshman year when I first started playing field hockey as a high schooler”. As you can see basketball, mac and cheese, and Majik are all very important things to Bdumais22.
