Hot Shots: an Introduction to Athibeault23

Athibeault23 is a very joyful and kind human being. Knowing Athibeault23 for pretty much my whole life, she has been a major staple in my life. Athibeault23 being an excellent basketball star using her height to her advantage has been able to destroy her competition. She’s a very good friend and has some really empowering leadership skills.

When Athibeault23 was creating her avatar I noticed that she used things that really mean a lot to her. When I think of Athibeault23, basketball is one of the main things that come into my head. Saying that she was able to incorporate that in a way that not a lot of people would be able to pick up on. Knowing Athibeault23 I know that she played for a team called the Hot Shots and she used a flame in her avatar to represent that. Athibeault23 states that her favorite part of the flag is “the fire”. I would say that the fire is where my attention goes first. Number one is the biggest part of her avatar, and Number two is the brightest part of her avatar as well. Throughout this all I believe this is the center point of Athibeault23’s avatar.

In Athibeault23’s avatar, I have noticed that we took two very similar approaches when creating our avatars. At first, it seemed like she had a really good idea and really liked her initial avatar and the same goes for me too. I really like the idea I had and I really didn’t feel a need to change what I had. One thing that stuck out to me was the fact that she didn’t just color in her first draft. Maybe Athibeault23 wanted to try out colors and it just so happened to be that she liked the way the orange and blue complemented each other. I had asked Athibeault23 a few times why she used orange over yellow and she stated that “orange draw more attention” and simply that “I don’t want to use yellow.”

Throughout this all I was really able to discover Athibeault23 in more depth even though I know her very well. It gave me the ability to pick up on subtle details and be able to see her mind and creativity work. One thing that I noticed about Athibeault23 was that our mines both work very alike. Whether that be the fact both of us only had two drafts or the ways that we incorporated our personal stories into our avatar we were able to create good conversation and tell each other things we never knew about each other.
