Always Ask

A lot of people think there’s is such thing as a stupid question, because they feel as though when you ask a question it has to have meaning behind it but. It doesn’t you could know the answer to the question and still ask it because, you feel as though you need reassurance that is the correct answer. An example of this in my life would be one day when I was at work I asked my boss a question that I knew the answer to and he knew, I knew the answer to but I felt as though I needed reassurance to know that it was correct so. I asked the question and he gave me a kind of weird look and then said what do you think and I said the correct answer and, he said see I told you there’s no such thing as a stupid question you think it’s a stupid question but you feel that you need reassurance ask no matter what because if you’re wrong.

He would rather someone ask a question that they might feel as though is a stupid question but it’s really not especially in certain lines of work because you are dealing with people’s lives such as being a doctor or a surgeon Etc. My line of work is Heating and Cooling and while I was on a routine job that we do every day, I was questioning myself whether or not I was doing something the correct way so. I decided to ask my boss even though I really knew I was doing it the right way I was still questioning if I was or not. At first he was a little confused why I would ask a question like that because I should know the answer as I’ve been doing this job for 2 years. Then he realized that it is better for me to ask a question than to just guess that I’m doing it right and possibly kill somebody. With this being in mind it makes me believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question in life in my option.

If you are second-guessing anything you should always ask the question no matter what people will think about you. Another example of a question that people think is a dumb question is with they ask if there is a certain item in food such as milk eggs Etc. you see this a lot at restaurants and grocery stores the part that a lot of people don’t realize is people have allergies and have to ask these questions to ensure that they are able to eat the food.

This happened to me at Olive Garden with my little brother when we were trying to figure out if he was able to eat the chicken nuggets and french fries and the Italian dressing that they serve on the salad. When we asked the question our server looked at us with a very confused face and asked us why we needed to know what was in these items, we explained that he has an allergy to eggs and peanuts she said that she had never been asked this question and did not know the answer so she would have to get the manager to find out when the manager came over to our table they also had a very confused look on their face as they had never been asked this question either We explain the situation to the manager and they went and found out. When they came back they said that they would be sure to educate their servers on food allergies more but the servers thought that this was a dumb question in their mind but for my family this question is something that needs to be asked because of the severity of the allergy for my little brother.
