The Best Season

Acarlson26 is an Oak Hill High School senior, and her avatar is not confusing it is original. What I believe to be best in her avatar is how natural it appears as it combines brown and orange. Acarlson26’s avatar consists of a brown leaf and orange at the top of it, and it caught in my eye in a peaceful and beautiful manner. The color scheme also suits her, It is simple to grasp and comprehend.

Initially, I assumed Acarlson26 avatar might symbolize anything from loving nature to fall being seasons of choice. After speaking to her I learned my prediction was correct, her avatar has to do with fall. She said this to me by saying “Fall’s my favorite season,” and she picked the leaf because she ¨likes the leafs¨. She also said to me ¨Fall is the prettiest season.¨ It made the design better in this case, as it explained she picked something she happens to love and identify with, and not something random.

As I pressed her to tell me a little more, she kept it short and sweet in terms of responses. She explained to me that fall was her favorite season due to aesthetics and this leaf captures it perfectly for her. I felt this was a great choice because it’s personal and not overcomplicated to understand. Rather than overthinking her design, she made it centered around one thing she cares for, and it made this avatar stick out just further.

Something I wasn’t expecting to learn about Acarlson26 avatar was just how she can be attached to an object as simple as a leaf. I think this is cool because it shows she can create symbolism from little things and doesn’t necessarily have to have something over the top to symbolize who she is as a person. Our avatars are completely different because she chose an object that means a lot to her and kept the designs uncomplicated. But I chose many objects and different colors but they both symbolize who we are as people. After learning more about her avatar, I believe I know Acarlson26 better than I did initially, and I believe she picked an excellent means of symbolizing little pieces of who she is.
