Where do I start? Well, sfisher26, she’s someone I’ve been close with since sixth grade, and over the years, she’s become one of the most confident and grounded people I know. She has a strong personality she is independent, honest, and always herself. She’s the type who says what everyone else is thinking but doesn’t have the guts to say out loud. She used to do fall cheer but now focuses fully on competition cheer for her senior year, where she puts in real dedication. Outside of cheer, she enjoys the countryside, where she loves being outdoors, especially fishing, and also enjoys skiing. She also works with kids at a daycare. Which is weird because who would trust her around kids? Her parents are separated, which has shaped her in some ways, but she’s resilient and handles life with strength and maturity. She’s a loyal friend, funny, and always real.
If you were looking at her flag/avatar, you might be a little confused, but with a little explanation, it all comes together. So when you look down at the design, you see a bright pink Canada Dry logo in the center, representing her favorite drink in her favorite color. On each side of the logo, cheer pom poms extend outward like flared lines, symbolizing her cheerleader background. Running down the middle of the logo are two vertical lines, representing skis, and in the center of those skis is a U-shaped curve that connects them, a subtle detail that resembles French tip nails, tying in her love for nail art. The design is clean in her abilities; it didn’t take her long to throw details together, but it could leave others second-guessing. But it’s definitely full of personality, combining adventurous and athletic elements with personal ones.

When simply interacting with sfisher26, asking questions about why she chose certain elements like she did, she didn’t think of deep, meaningful things; she felt more surface level,” I just thought about my favorite things…” thinking about colors, activities, and drinks. The part that stands out to me most is the Canada Dry logo and not just because it’s front and center. It’s bright pink, which already makes it stand out more. Pretty unusual to me. I would have never guessed it. Most people wouldn’t choose a ginger ale logo to represent themselves. Canada Dry is kind of underrated and not a first choice, but by turning the logo pink, she made something ordinary completely her own. It grabs your attention and ends up saying more about her than you’d expect from just a soda logo. That’s why I feel it stuck out to me, it’s a pink Canada Dry logo first off, but she made it bright pink, and it’s unusual to see. She expressed that she likes more than just the plain ginger ale, she likes the blackberry and flavored ones too, “they’re sooo good.” She walks into classes with one, I think, almost every day.
What’s different about mine and her thought process is that she thought about her favorites and what she does, and used generic logos to create what she liked. She expressed the activities she enjoys, “ I go skiing with my dad in the winter.” She’s used some elements that make her closer to family. She thought about her favorite color and soda. What she enjoys about her nails is that they look like surface-level things. With minimal thought, I thought of characteristics I could have that symbolize me more. I used color to represent hard work and honesty, and more. I contributed my love for music as well as a sport I’ve grown up playing. I thought deeper than my favorites.
