Changes

Graduates, families, faculty, honored guests, people who are only here because someone promised food afterward

Today is not just a celebration of achievement. It is a celebration of possibility, resilience, innovation, synergy, and whatever other words get applause in speeches like this.

When you first arrived here, you were students. Today, you leave as graduates. And tomorrow… tomorrow, you become Instagram posts on my feed.

You are entering a world of unprecedented change. Artificial intelligence is transforming industries. The economy is evolving. The climate is shifting. And through all of this, you must remember one thing: We´re doomed, but be yourself. Unless being yourselves isn’t marketable. Then change yourself.

People will tell you success is about hard work. Others will say it’s about passion. Still others will say it’s about networking. The truth is, success is about confidently pretending you know what’s happening until eventually other people believe you.

And you do know things. You know how to write essays at 11:58 PM. You know how to survive group projects where just stand´s in the corner and still wants their name on the slideshow. You know how to nod thoughtfully during presentations while understanding absolutely nothing. These are not weaknesses. These are professional skills.

As you move forward, there will be obstacles. You will fail. You will doubt yourselves. You say “you too” after someone says “enjoy your meal.” But failure is not the opposite of success. Failure is a growth-oriented learning experience that can be reframed into actionable momentum for future optimization.

Never stop dreaming. Never stop learning. Never stop using phrases like “circle back,” “touch base,” and “moving forward” even when they mean absolutely nothing.

Some of you will become doctors. Some lawyers. Some entrepreneurs. Some influencers who review gas station food while wearing fake watches. All paths are valid if spoken about confidently enough.

And when life becomes uncertain, remember this timeless truth: every inspirational quote sounds profound if you put it over piano music and a sunrise.

Graduates, the future belongs to those who are bold enough to disrupt, innovate, collaborate, and monetize their authentic personal journey.
