Before I moved to Sabbatus, I was living in Rumford. When I was living in Rumford after the pandemic had started I was homeschooled 7th through 9th grade. Home school was honestly the worst time of my life, i didnt have any friends and the only friend i had was my brother which was absolutely awful. We had a love-hate relationship unfortunately which was very annoying and sad. Also while I was homeschooled I didn’t learn anything except for how to be sneaky. On July 5th of 2023 we had officially moved into our new home in sabbatus which would be the 3rd time I had moved. Me and my brother were soon given a tour of the school and a few weeks later was our first day of school.

On our first day of school we were put in a study hall with Mr. Young since they didn’t know where to put us. I was extremely nervous since I haven’t really interacted with other people besides my family in around 3 years, I didn’t make friends till later on in the year. Soon I had started making a few friends and I was also getting to know my teachers which was very nice since I soon started feeling welcomed. During my second year I was in a rock band with some other kids. When I was in a rock band I started out by playing piano, then I went on to play some guitar then some bass. It wasn’t really that bad except for one kid who was extremely annoying, rude, and overly bossy. GOD I hated that guy so much but besides him I had a great time in a rock band. I was also in LRTC. I took a culinary class which taught me a lot. It taught me how to cook certain things, how to be a server, and also how to keep stuff clean and sanitary. While in LRTC I had also gotten servsafe certified which is extremely helpful for me because I can get a good job at a restaurant or fast food place. During this year I was getting to know my new teachers which was nice but i didnt make any new friends. My third and final year here was even better. I had left a rock band which was a good thing since it had gotten worse unfortunately, but I had started making more friends here and I had gotten to know even more about my teachers.

This school has changed me a lot throughout the years and for the better too. I had become way more social than when I first came here, which has impacted my life in the best way to say the least. I had also learned a lot and I had gained many friends. It has impacted me in the best way possible and I’m extremely grateful for this school. I’m extremely happy that I get to graduate from this school but I am also sad that I won’t be able to see any of my teachers anymore and I wish them nothing but the best. I’m also somewhat stressed out since I’m not 100% positive on what I am gonna do after I graduate but with the help of my counselor I am going to be able to get a job and eventually go to college for art. But with all of these negative things I am still so happy that I’ll be able to graduate from here and I will miss everyone here.
I have had so many great experiences in this school and im yet again still very happy that i was able to come here and graduate from here, im yet again so proud of how far i have come as a person and im still so happy that i get to graduate with all of you and I hope everyone here has a great graduation and life.
