A conventional thing I'd like to give up is overconsumption. If overconsumption wasn't a thing financial stress may not be a thing for some people, enviromental benefits, and investing in quality over quantity. Overconsumption could lead to health issues for inviduals, increased dept. and not having enough room for things you actually need. Dont get me wrong, I do think its okay to be interested in what you like and invest your money into it. But it can become a problem for inviduals, like me. Trends are always going around on social media and most peoples first intincts are to join in on the trend. The issue is a lot of poeple have the fear of missing out and feel the need to join in on every trend and buy it. This could either be new producs, electronics, fast fasion, etc. If we ever were to live in a social media free world, I feel that almost everybody wouldnt be into over consuming products including myself. Without social media I wouldnt be able to see all the new clothes everyone is buying. If overconsumption was compelety gone I think that id be more involved in my relationships with others. I know that most of the time I talk to my family its always about something ive seen on social media and how badly I want it. But it also goes both ways, my siblings talk to me whenever they want something. My current relationships would be more focused on clear communication and mindfulness.
