Obama on Gun Control

After all the awful gun accidents and threats we have had recently in the United States, President Barack Obama is finally making changes. He wants to reduce the gun violence by using bans on military “style” weapons. By having strict gun control we may be able to reduce the amount of incidents we have had to sadly witness recently. Obama has recently announced an event they are holding at the White House that will include law enforcement officials and lawmakers. The big push for this has been since the awful shooting in Newtown Conn.

We need to desperately take serious measures on stopping gun violence now before we have to see another awful accident, like we did with Newtown. We should make getting your gun license a lot harder and do serious background checks on everyone. Police and officials should be the only ones with serious weapons, as well as the Military of course. If we do not start doing something now, who knows what could happen in the future. We need structure and rules with guns. Guns are life threatening, and when found in the wrong hands, they can be deadly.
So let us start now on improving laws like this. To support our President and make this world a safer place for the children in the future. No one should be scared to go to school. No one should be scared to be shot in a mall or movie theater. It is our time to make a difference. So let’s start now when we can have some control over the issue. Let us have stricter rules and bans on gun usage in the United States.
