Technology of the Future: Laser-Blasting Superhydrophobic Surface onto Metal

The inventions of today are marvelous and amazing. From lasers that can go a mile, to mini electric mobile jet engines for snowboarding. The world is changing in a technology based way, so there will not be cash and you will never have to drive in the near future. But laser-blasting metal to form a super-hydrophobic surface is a giant discovery. When you can drop a bottle of water on a surface and it floats above the surface like its levitating, that is a wondrous sight to see. Just thinking of all the possibilities you could make with a metal like this. The cars of the future could be real today with the aerodynamic value of more than an airplane. Lasers have been experimented with for a while now because of the weird properties. Scientists are discovering more and more because we understand the laser more now.

Now water is one if not the most needed things for life. Without it we would die in days, but with it the sky’s the limit. But water is just as much our friend as it is our enemy. From the first aqueducts in Rome to the cars we use today water rusts and erodes everything from a little to a lot. But with the technology discovered by the University of Rochester in New York, the problems with water can just go away. Pipes in your house would never rust and never have to be replaced. The water never touches this new surface it beads into a ball and rolls right off. This is because of the fine structure of the surface where there are like hairs so small that doesn’t let water cling on. Water will never be wasted again.
