A Little Rough Around The Edges

I truly am in awestruck when I talk about the pineapple. Where can I start? It is juicy, sweet, has invigorating looks, and can break a lot of things if you throw it around in your kitchen. Nothing is more deceptive than the pineapple. Its pointy outside wouldn’t make anyone think that such amazing  taste and texture lies underneath its thick outer shell. It makes the average person water at the mouth thinking about it. The wonderful leaves on the top of a pineapple are alluring and make me want to pick one up, have my mom cut it up for me because i’m not capable of doing such a strenuous thing, and eat it. Pineapples are great for you and have a wonderful history.

Pineapples derive from South America and have been known about for hundreds of years. They are commonly found in areas like Brazil. They are also found in the Caribbean and many Pacific islands. They have been enjoyed in America for a long time. Companies like Dole have made millions of dollars from this wonderful fruit by making fruit cups and snacks that many people like me love to enjoy. For a fun fact, I bring two fruit cups a day for lunch! Many famous people throughout history like Spongebob have lived their life within the comfort of a pineapple.

Pineapples have nutritious value and are great for us. They are rich in vitamin B and are good for our immune system! Like oranges, pineapples tend to be rich in vitamin C as well. Pineapples are wonderful to eat, and have awesome juice that we can drink as well. Everyone should stop what they are doing, pick up a pineapple, hopefully cut it up right, and eat it. They are well worth the time because pineapples are the perfect fruit for any day.
