diesel engines

Diesel engines have changed as far as emissions. The first diesel motor was ever invented in the late 1890s. They were first invented by Rudolf Diesel. He invented an efficient, compression ignition, internal combustion engine that bears his name. Early diesel engines were large and operated at low speeds due to the limitations of their compressed air-assisted fuel injection systems. The diesel engine does not require a large water supply or a long warming-up period and is highly efficient in converting heat energy into work. Diesels are used in both stationary and mobile places where the power required is between that and by gas engine. I think that diesel engines have more of an economic impact then gas engines. Diesel motors have changed a lot over time. Diesels have become more fuel efficient and get better gas mileage. Besides that most old people are switching to diesels because of all of the other things they do that gas trucks. Even if they may be bigger, that does not matter cause it can be a smoother ride. Some gas trucks have harsh suspension and sometimes companies think that they trucks have good suspension. Diesel trucks are made for towing heavy things so there suspensions are great and going down the road feels like your riding on ice.

Diesels and gas engines are different from ignition and the way the fuel works. The diesel engine differs from the gasoline engine in that the ignition of fuel is caused by compression of air in its cylinders instead of by a spark: the high compression ratio allows the air in the cylinder to become hot enough to ignite the fuel. Because of the high temperatures of operation, a diesel engine must be water-cooled. The construction of the diesel engine is heavier than that of the gasoline engine; there are usually three or more cylinders (supported on a framework and bed plate) and a heavy flywheel. The cylinders are set to work alternately to give a smooth-turning effect, and the flywheel contributes further to smooth action. There engines run a lot stronger than a gas truck. Diesels are air run, not all just air but gas is fuel and spark. Diesels have glow plugs. Glow plugs help the engine start easier in the cold whether. Diesels also run better when its cold out. The thicker the air, the better they run. They suck the air through the turbo and then run through the motor and come back out the exhaust. Of course air/gas mix.
