Real friends

There are times when I needed help and someone needed help from me. For example, one day I was DMing a girl I sorta know. I had just met her on Snapchat because my friend told me to add her. She had a very bad day and her friend just got out of the hospital and she needed someone, bad. She messaged me to meet her in a place that is irrelevant to the story. When I pulled up she got in my car and i stared at her for 30ish seconds as it turned out, she was way too good looking for me.

So me and this girl are chilling in my car and I broke the ice like any real man would, I said “So, you like chicken nuggets?” She obviously said yes, because what girl doesn’t like chicken nuggets? So we’re in a fast food driveway and we go in and someone was making this girl real uncomfortable, right? So we went somewhere else and got drinks. I then brought her to my friend’s crib where we chilled for about 4 hours until she had to go because her mom is overbearing.

The time when a friend helped me however, is when i was hanging out with my friends all night. It was 11:30 and my mom said I had to be home by 12 so I decided to leave. Keep in mind it was snowing on this night about 8 inches and i lived about 5 miles away. So when I shifted to reverse and tried to pull out of the side of my friend’s driveway, my car got stuck in the large piles of snow outside.

Obviously, at this point it was like 11:40 and I was freaking out, so I went back in my friend’s house and asked my one friend who was by the door for help. He decided to help me so we went out and I tried to drive it out with him pushing, but it wouldn’t budge. Eventually, I thought of trimming the snow down with a shovel while the rest of my friends came out to help push. So while my friend was driving my car and 4 of us pushed we got it out in like 5 minutes, not to thank the one guy who was there who did nothing and opted to leave in my time of need, but we don’t talk about him. Eventually though, I made it home safe and sound somehow even though my windshield looked like the hyperspace in star trek with all the snow coming at it for 10 minutes.

Finally, I got home safe and sound and my mom wasn’t mad at me because I made it home in time. I was very thankful for my friends for doing this for me because they did it not expecting something from me, but rather to help a friend out in his time of need. There is kind of a trite saying nowadays that goes like “a friend in need is a friend indeed” and that’s exactly what happened that night.

Have you forgiven the guy who walked off in your time of need? After reading through, I found that your words seemed indirectly hostile.
