TheUtmostTrouble TheUtmostTrouble

Don’t worry, be happy :)

Questions for me are not typically scary to ask. Nor am I afraid to make myself look foolish, that usually would not stop me from asking the question. If I do have a question I ask out loud, or I just turn and ask a friend nearby. To me being scared of asking a question is nothing someone should be shy about. I definitely have had instances where I looked like a fool but it was not like I cared that bad. I was raised in a way that things shouldn’t bother me and I brush them off quickly. Not being afraid to be yourself and not giving a hoot of what others think about you is seriously the best way to live. Questions are the most simple thing. It is one question within a 24 hour period and many years to come. Don’t hang onto things that don’t matter. Nobody will remember the time you asked a silly question in 4th period on a red or white day 50 years down the road.
Honestly this topic is so hard for me to think of something so I am writing about how I really don’t care about what others think about me. Hate me? Cool. Like me? Awesome! Senior year is almost over and I will not see many people again. You only live once people, do not be afraid to embarrass yourself sometimes, because living a normal boring life is lame anyways. You have to spice it up every once in a while!
I tend to stay on the quiet side when it comes to school and wanting to stay low key. I do not like being in the ¨popular group¨ because it honestly is one of the dumbest things to even care about. So for me to look foolish is like the last thing I think about in my day. Be yourself, and if people think you are foolish, just ignore them because you don’t need that negativity in your life and stay confident. I definitely would not look at you funny for asking a question that you needed to know. Unless we all know that you just ask it because you wanna be the class clown then it shouldn’t matter what you ask. If you need to, do so. Growing up and learning is all new for everyone, soon you will need it for jobs, college, and in real life situations. Just remember its not like you’re the only one always asking.
The times I had asked my questions that I looked silly for asking were the times I learned the most. If I would not have asked I wouldn’t have been aware of what I was doing, or learning. Remember it is your education you are stopping if you don’t ask, not anyone else’s. If you need help, get help. I personally think it is sad when someone gets teased for a question they needed to ask, unless they are just not paying attention, then that is their fault. But other than that questions are good to ask because then you are trying to learn and help yourself. Just think of what could happen if you don’t ask something you don’t know.
I wish I had a funny story to tell so this blog post would be more interesting and I am sorry about that. I probably have had my moments a while ago but I just cant seem to remember them. But nowadays I am really not that afraid to ask a question when I am unsure about something. I am the type that would rather know whats going on than be confused and not do anything right on the assessment or assignment. Like I said before it is my education and if I don’t ask then it’s me that gets the consequence from it. Nobody should feel ashamed about what they need to ask or be scared to ask it. You should not dishearten others when they seriously are asking a simple question.
The risk is always worth it, well in some cases. Even if you are embarrassed about the outcome or scared that you will look dumb don’t feel that way. The learning come from taking that risk you were uncertain about. You start to learn when you ask questions. It is new information that you obtain when you listen to what the teacher/ speaker is saying, and we should all have that opportunity to get that. By making people feel badly about themselves for trying to absorb knowledge then that is just plain disrespectful and impolite. Just because you can grasp something much easier then others doesn’t mean you can belittle them in anyway, shape, or form. Everyone should be treated fairly, equally, and nothing should be different.

I really enjoyed reading through this post! I loved hearing your stories about how you do not care to ask questions and just ask them no matter what. It had a nice message behind it to keep doing you and don’t care what others think of you.

I really liked how you took a spin on the assignment. This piece is really well written. I wish I could be more like you in the sense of not caring so much and just living life with out worrying. I tend to make things a lot harder for myself because I’m always thinking about what other people will think of me. This piece of work has really inspired me to not worry so much about what other people think about me.
