The fire to learning

The fire to my learning was probably history class it just came easy to me and was very interesting for me. I’ve always found previous wars and how the united went from the bottom to being on top of power around the world. World war two is probably the most interesting to me. It went from the deserts of Africa to Europe and island hopping in the Pacific. Everything about the war has interest me from when I first started learning about it when I was little. From the metals to the technology they had and the weapons and vehicles is so interesting me. Another thing that is very interesting to me is snowmobiles and how far the industry has truly come just in the past 20 years it has come so far from little 200 cc motors that went 20 miles an hour to 850 cc motors today that are pushing 175 horsepower and go over 100 miles an hour with ease and can easily make the motors push well over 200 horse. It’s just insane to me what sleds today are capable of doing and bringing you like going through 12 feet of powder in the mountains and going over a hundred miles an hour on a fresh groomed trail or a lake. The whole industry has come so far to the big brands to the small town shops that outfit people with gear and fix sleds. The riding gear and safety as come so far the helmets people have save people’s life all the time and in the mountains avalanches are a huge risk and they have beacons and other safety equipment to keep people alive a dream I’ve always wanted to do in the industry are two things  one have my own shop and be a performance specialist and make peoples sleds more durable ride better and easier and make them have more power and faster. Or be an outfitter like out west where you’re a registered guide and bring people back country riding in the back country of Maine and New Hampshire. I also have a huge interest in becoming a Maine guide and guiding fishing and hunting trips in Maine it would be the dream for me. I eat sleep and breath hunting in fishing always doing it 365 days a year. The only problem i would have with it is the pay. On the other hand I also really enjoy the water and would love to be a lobster men with my brother in law for a few years making good money and being where I love to be on the coast of Maine. My brother in law has been on a lobster boat and he wants me to be working a little this summer and see how it goes and how I like it and how I do. I did it once a couple summers ago and fell in love with it and would love to do it this summer and even longer since I’m done school. Photo by ~FreeBirD®~ on Foter.com / CC BY-NC-ND

I can really relate to this I have always wanted to be a registered Maine guide, or a game warden so that I can always be outdoors. The problem that I have is I love racing I grew up racing and I don’t want to have to stop doing that so I can work and make barely 40,000 a year.

Kohl, I like how you showed evidence and I liked how it went into your theme. World War 2 was the largest war in American History and also the deadliest with over 70 million casualties. You are a strong writer when you are interested in the certain topic and it shows. Great overall and a good lesson on sleds and how they’ve changed throughout time.

P.S. — can’t wait to go summer fishing on the boat woot woot
