Attention

One lesson I have learned over the past couple of months that ive been driving is to always pay attention to the roads no matter what you are doing.

This May I got into a little accident with a person I didn’t know on this very busy road in Lewiston. Everybody was going and then people had to slam on their breaks near a green light and I didn’t understand why. Earlier in the day, it was a perfectly normal day and as I thought everything would go right it didn’t. Nearby, everyone was driving by me and staring and it made me feel bad about myself and I felt useless and didn’t know what to say to the guy that I hit. I took it very serious. So I went up to the guy and he said, “are you okay?” and I was perfectly fine I was just a little bit shaken up and then I asked him if he was okay too. I was shaking very bad. I was very puzzled. Then, I almost started to cry a little and didn’t know what to do at all because something like has never happened to me. It was only me and other person in the crash so it wasn’t to bad. It was all my fault though. Car crashes are very alarming to be in because just the thought of dying is very scary. Especially if it is on a very busy road and other cars are flying by you. My face said it all and I was shedding tears. Once it was done I had to call my mom because I was still freaking out about the crash. I didn’t expect a car crash to happen with that because the light was green and i didn’t know why people would slam on their breaks when it was a green light and people had been going. I didn’t expect that I could get into a tiny accident like that and it happen so soon. Later in the day, I was still shaken up by it and I can’t believe it happened at that time because it all happened so fast. So eventually I got out of my car and the guy asked me if I was okay and I did the same thing to him. I was shook. He has for my insurance and my ID and I gave it to him and I did the same thing to him. Luckily there was no damage done to his car and the cops were not called because they didn’t need to be. I ended up rear ending him because I took my eyes off the road for 1 second and it was really bad.Just like that something bad can happen to you if you are not paying attention in life such as people or places such as me, you wouldn’t want to be in a car crashes they are not as fun as you think.

The actions that I made weren’t the best but I have learned from them. After that I was a better thinker after and continue to look at the roads at all times. Even not on the roads just always pay attention. In a split of a second something happened to me because I wasn’t paying attention. I have decided to be more careful on the roads and always keep my eyes on the road.

After reading your story, I would highly suggest to anyone reading to stay clear of BFoster on the roads… haha I like how you incorporated how you felt during the whole situation to allow the readers know how you felt. Also, I liked the word choice in your story as well. Good job! One last thing I enjoyed in your story was how you mentioned how you were confused about why people were stopped at a green light, it makes me wonder if you have road rage. Overall great job Bry!

As someone who knows that you have road rage first hand, I can imagine this entire story in my head. Thank you for sharing details, it helped me understand your side of the story. Glad no one was hurt but hey you learned your lesson right? Cars are large death machines so next time try using your brakes… it helps most of the time. Again, so glad your ok!
