A View into Xjunkins22

Xjunkins22

Xjunkins is a strawberry blonde, about 5’9, he wears a lot of sweatpants, sweatshirts, and nice shoes who is also a soccer player.  The avatar that Xjunkins made is 2 squiggly lines in the left top and lower right corners with blue between. In the sea of blue is a black circle; the circle represents a soccer ball. In the top left corner behind the squiggly lines is a dog collar that is black with a red tag. In the bottom right corner of his avatar he has a blue shoe lace with black tips.

 The element that grabbed my attention the most was the dog collar because xjunkins does not usually talk about personal things like the love he has for his dog so him putting down in his avatar about his dog really expresses the love he has for his dogs. Xjunkins had a process of picking things he likes just to fill the page. His color choice was a decision based on the fact that he needed to add color to his avatar. His design choice was just abstract with no meaning of the placements, just formatted them to fit. My process is different from xjunkins process because in my process I chose things that made me happy and things that described me as a person whereas xjunkins chose things that he liked but didn’t care what they really were or what they meant. 

Asking about his circle in his avatar xjunkins responds with “The reason I put a circle was to represent a soccer ball” At first I didn’t know that the circle represented a soccer ball but after he told me it made more sense. The blue in the center of the avatar was also a part of the squiggles, the squiggles meaning waves and the ocean he chose the blue to represent the ocean as well since water being shown and associated with the color blue. “Blue is waves and the squiggles mean waves too”, “it’s the ocean”. The color and the squiggles represent the same thing. I also asked xjunkins about the bottom right corner not knowing what it was. He told me, “It’s a shoelace to represent shoes since I like to buy shoes.” Knowing xjunkins the shoelace was a very good description of him because he has nice clothes and matches his shoes to his outfits. 

Overall xjunkins avatar well represented who he is as a person because all of his symbols match who he is. Even if our thought processes were different we both ended up with avatars that best represent who we are as people. From the color choices to the size of our symbols we both designed and came up with topics. Knowing xjunkins for as long as I have, most things were not a surprise when he put them down on the page but over all he made the best avatar to describe himself.
