One text or call could wreck it all

When discussing the pros and cons of texting and calling we have one thing to consider… Which is more convenient? Personally, I prefer calling. It is much quicker and easier rather than texting which takes your attention away from driving, but there are some disadvantages. 1. Interrupts meetings, conversations, sleep, etc. These are times when calls can ruin what is happening like a good conversation so on and so forth. Some more pros are you can tell what tone people are talking in and if someone is delivering news to you it is better to do it through a call instead of text messaging especially if the person calling is not nearby.

Some advantages of texting are you don’t have to worry about calling somebody back. Texting also helps if you don’t remember what someone said to you, you have a hard copy of the message. The disadvantages are you don’t know the tone somebody is talking in and someone’s messages can be taken the wrong way especially if it doesn’t have indicators to help. I prefer texting on rare occasions because you can use emojis and are able to re-read messages but I will always resort back to calling. For example, reading a past relative’s text messages are good sentimental things to have.

In my personal life, I seem to prefer calling because it is quick and easy and I don’t have to wait for a response. I will sometimes read a message and never get back to someone which leads to conflict with the person texting. Another reason calling is my preference is because you can call somebody out in the woods if there is service but text messages take longer and never send in time. In my work life, I use texting which can sometimes benefit me especially if my boss gives me a list of things to get done during my shift. Nobody wants to get a call from their boss telling them a list of jobs to do and then not being able to remember.

I think I will be expected to call more, as I said earlier it is more convenient and quicker and will only take 30 seconds rather than a 10-minute text conversation. I think as I enter adulthood I will be more adept to text because I will become more annoyed with people wanting to call me. That way I can answer a text while half asleep in bed and nobody will know.
