Laughter Cures All

I can’t think of a time where I wasn’t having fun when I was laughing with my friends. They bring me nothing but joy every time I see them. afterward, Just last Saturday was my birthday and I had a fire at my house expecting it to be a no turn out because of the non-stop rain the whole afternoon. Turns out my friends don’t care about the rain as much as I thought it would ruin my party.

Party started slow everyone slowly showed up bringing gifts as they walked in and getting ready for a long night of good stories, laughter, music and s’mores. Turns out we only got three out of four of those things. S’mores, good stories and laughter. We navigated the night with old memories and funny jokes. Lots of the people I invited had already been graduated from high school for some time so we reminisced about the good ole days when we messed around in Ms Gray’s room and when we played pickle ball and wiffle ball in Mr Fletcher’s room during the long raider connections last may.

It was great to re-live some of these stories I’ve totally forgotten about. It was nice to see my past friends I haven’t seen in a long time, but we picked right back where we left off beautifully, as nothing changed, my friend, Austen, showed up and started talking with my group of friends like he knew everyone. Even though he really didn’t, half of the girls there went to other schools. even thought it was my 18th birthday instead of my 17th or 16th, I still felt appreciated the same way I did in the past. every year the group changes but the memories never go away. Later in the night my friend Izzy was on marshmallow duty which means we all had sticks and she was involved in handing out all the marshmallows so no one went without a smore. Izzy definitely tried her best to help me I think she could tell I was stressed with organizing the party, she did a great job until Mason started to mess with her. He has three sicks and was begging for more marshmallows what felt like every 30 seconds you coukd tell she was stressed. It was so funny that she didn’t even care and just kept throwing them at him. when I woke up the next day and there was melted marshmallow everywhere. she missed throwing them at Mason a lot and he couldn’t catch too If you couldn’t tell. they were gross and melty in the morning. It was honestly the best birthday with the best company, and we didn’t stop laughing all night.
