Bad Decisions

Bad Decisions

Hey, how are you guys today. We have been in this place for 4 long and miserable years, and I can probably speak for most of us when saying that graduation is going to be one of the best times of our lives, for the simple fact that it means we are done with high school. We have all made lots of memories, from good to bad, made friends as well as lost some, and made many terrible decisions, not thinking about the consequences prior to doing them. Most of us did some stuff our parents were not necessarily proud of, but who cares, I can say that I for sure had a good time, when I wasn’t at school of course. Bad decisions happened very often, but I can proudly say I have no regrets.

High school reminds me of a mental asylum, everyone walks around with no purpose, everyone is forced to be here, and we all have to meet certain requirements to leave once and for all. There are a few who meet the requirements sooner than the rest and there’s also some who don’t meet them in time and are forced to stay longer, and also a few that decide to escape. But for the most of us we meet the requirements at the same time… when we are supposed to. If you quite get that comparison, the diploma is the requirements to get out, the ones who aren’t graduation are the ones that don’t meet the requirements, and the escapees dropped out. But for the most of us we meet the requirements at the same time… when we are supposed to. I guess our class didn’t do too bad, I believe we only have one escapee, and we only had a few that didn’t meet the requirements in time. But we have all worked very hard to get to this point and we have all been through basically the same struggle, especially this year. With about a week left most of us are starting to go crazy about graduating, particularly brandon, where every class “im gonna drop out” is said about 50 times.

Many of us made bad decisions, and procrastination was probably the worst decision for most of us, especially with the last day of school coming up very fast.  And I can probably speak for most of us when I say that we are all in a hurry and frantically trying to get everything done. But that is just one of the mistakes that we have made, and although all of us go through different situations and different problems no one can avoid making a bad decision every once in a while. For instance, this scar under my eye will probably never go away and it pisses me off. Long story short I made a bad decision and didn’t wear a helmet on my dirtbike and I almost poked my eye out with a tree. So if any of you decide to ride a dirtbike wear a helmet.

Every day you are going to have decisions, from what you wear, to what to eat and many more. It is something that we can’t avoid and just have to deal with, but we can choose the outcome of most decisions. Membean quizzes are full of decisions, each question has multiple choices, so you have to make a choice, often times we know what the right answer is, and other times we take a shot in the dark. If you chose the wrong one then it makes your grade go down, even though you may not know the right answer you still know it will drop your grade if it is wrong. Similar to life, you make a bad decision and it has bad results. You text and drive, you could crash your car… Don’t wear a helmet on a dirt bike you could almost lose your eye and get a horrible scar… you talk to 3 different girls at the same time and then they all turn on you cause they are friends,  just a few examples of bad decisions we have seen in our 4 years here, and there are many more to come.

So friends, and classmates, graduation is coming very fast, we have a week left to get all our shit done, now is when we feel the effect of that bad decision, procrastinating, and we are in a mess to get it all done so we can get the hell out of here. Just think in two weeks we are going to be on our own, no more high school for 7 hours a day, no more teachers on our backs to do our work and keep us in line, and no more homework. Some of us will stay home all day and do nothing, and be bored out of our minds, and some of us will be at work raking up that dough. But now is when we get given the real test, to see how well we were raised and how we can do with our lives in our own hands, how we will manage ourselves, and how we will survive without reduced lunch. So classmates, make good decisions, do good for yourselves and others and lastly don’t be a Dave guys, no one likes a Dave.
