The Goalies

In field hockey the team is always there for each other. No matter what happens. If lost or won a game. We do have problems but we work through them. We also help out the middle school too by showing them skill that could help with their game. When I was in middle school I started to the position of the goalie. The team always there for everyone but the goalies stay together. We spent all of time together because there was only two of us. We had each other backs. I had a different goalie with me because there was no other goalie, but me that came up from middle school or was a senior. So had a different goalie buddy each time. We are all was there for each other.
When I started middle school I decide to start playing field hockey. I was not the greatest in the field, but when they said they need a goalie I step up to the plate. I was terrified to be the goalie because all I knew was to stop the ball when it came to me. The good news was that I had two goalie coaches and the high school goalie helping me. They taught me the basic goalie stuff and helped me through the season. After that season I knew I want to the goalie next year too. Throughout middle school I stayed the goalie and got different coaches. This coaches stayed with me until senior year of high school. They helped me become the goalie I am today. One of them was the goalie when I become a freshman in high school. This last year was when she became the official goalie coach for the team. She went very game and still did she college work. Their was other ways that she help me besides skill but helped me feel better when we just lost a game. I was always mad when we lost because I missed the ball but she told I tried my best that all that made. It always made me better after the game. She has helped me from six grade to senior year and I am happy for it.
When it got to my sophomore year I became the varsity goalie and I was thrilled. The problem was that I was the only goalie. Then someone stepped up and become a goalie for a year. So I help her become a goalie and to know the basics. I would always tell her what she could to different or that she did a good job. After that year was over a new goalie came up from the middle school. I played with her in middle school to. We had each other back and help each other at the end of the game. After that year we got a different goalie. She never played the position before but she stepped up when the team need her the most. The goalie coach and I taught she what she need to know. When she came of the field after the field hockey game I would help put her goalie gear away. When they had question I would answer it. I helped them they also helped me too. When I asked a question they would answer if we talked about it already.
Now looking back into field hockey season the goalies always looked out for each other. We did help the team but we spend it more time with each other. We learn by each other mistake and help each other have we lost a game. Goalies are there for each other even if their on the other teams.

Wow, Glad someone was nice enough to step up and be the second goalie for the field hockey varsity team. That’s what team is all about stepping up and getting out of your usual boundaries and comfort zones to help a teammate in need. That’s what a real teammate does for another teammate on their team. they step up to help get the job done right and effectively. that is also what makes up a good team a team full of players willing to give up their favorite position to take another. great writing really enjoyed this.

Love the story. It always good to know that someone has your back, even if the aren’t there for long or you just meet them.
