Problems could be Solutions

If a problem arises there are three outcomes, you avoid it, you fail at it, or you solve the problem. If you have a problem there is only one real good solution, you solve that problem. Anything else would be considered failure. Given that fact I would have to agree with Duke Ellington, that a problem is a chance for you to do your best. I was faced with a problem when I had to figure out how in the world I was going to pass all of my classes this year. I had those three options. I could drop some of my classes. I could fail some of my classes. My final choice was to work really hard and pass all of them. I chose to push through and pass all my classes. This big problem made me bare down and put my nose to the grindstone the whole year. Even though it was very taxing and rouge it presented me with new challenges every single day. Because of those challenges and the situation I was put in I was able to show my real skill and talents. Essentially, this problem turned into a chance to show everyone what I could do and improve myself as a person all in one fell swoop. That was my problem and how I solved it, but other people can have totally different problems that require totally different solutions. My mother recently was faced with a huge problem. She had been on disability for a while and was in danger of losing her job if she couldn’t go back to work. She chose to approach this problem head on and started going to physical therapy. She went once a week and pushed herself harder than she ever had before. She pushed herself so much that she was able to walk without her crutches. She showed her job that she wasn’t worthless and that she wouldn’t give in easily. She was faced with this problem of getting better or getting fired, it allowed her to improve herself and make her situation better as a whole. The situation made her work hard and she was able to give it her all and show the world here best. These two problems are vastly different but the way of thinking is the same. If you have a problem that needs to be solved then treat it as an opportunity to do your best. When you do your best you will find that you may become a better person for it.
