What is the vantage and disadvantage of texting rather than calling?

The vantage of texting is you do not need internet or service for it to go through no matter where you are even if you are somewhere remote your texts should go through. If you try to call someone and it does not go through you can text them instead, another advantage is that you don’t have to pray that it goes through or that they get it because there is offline texting. Even if you don’t have service it will still get to them if you really need them for example if you are at the beach or in the woods you might not have service so you might not be able to call but your text messages will. One more advantage of texting rather than calling is it’s convenient, text messages are the fastest way of communication, they are faster than emailing and calling. Texting also helps companies because it may take a while for an email to send so if a company wants the customer or employee to get the message they can text instead.

The disadvantages of texting rather than calling is that some people may interpret what you are trying to say differently, they may think you’re being aggressive or rude so you must be cautious when writing so people don’t misinterpret what you are trying to say. Another disadvantage of texting is the fear of the person you are texting not texting you back. When texting someone most people expect them to respond right away, but that’s not always the case, people can read your message but not actually respond to it, and this is annoying at times.

The advantages of calling is there is no room for interpretation, there is more tone and emotion to your voice, you have more of a chance of them answering you and if they decline you it’s obvious they don’t want to talk to you. The bad thing about calling is that whether or not they call goes through in different areas depends on your courrier, so if you are in trouble or need to call someone in a hurry it might not go through.

With all the information above it is clear that texting is better than calling because you don’t need service or internet for it to go through, It is faster than emailing or calling, and everyone can text even even company’s or businesses.
