Tools In The Hands Of The Wrong People

Social networks sense they have been invented has significantly boosted humanitys technological process. In only 66 years we went from the first plane to going to space, because of the ease of communication its been much easier to connect to others. Some people think that they could also be holding us back. Both is true, it helps us connect but to a point where it becomes distrating to others.

The invention of ease of communication has provided many techlogical advancements for humanity, aswell as just generaly improving peoples ways of life. The fact you can call a abulance or police to help you with your troubles if proof of that. It also helps with general communication and your social life, being able to see what others are doing and being able to contact others with ease has improved others ability to make connections, aswell as being able to keep those connections because contacting them is just that easy. A common arguement against this claim is that it distants yourself from you and your community, this can be true depending on how much you use it. It can also help others get together, share and group together, a chance they might not be able to obtain without the existance of social media

The ease of communication has created a problem, some people abuse there technology and get distracted. Focusing on there online social life rather than there social life in person. This brings up the question of weither it is or is not worth it to keep. It absolutely is because the good outweighs the bad, although it can damage your social life its more so up to your personal choices, what you post say and show matters alot and having basic internet safety rules is essential. If you abuse anything enough itll have negitive consequenses on you, for example if you drink enough water you will die, that doesnt mean its negitive. On the other hand you could say “But you could also say that about anything bad, even guns are useful when used correctly”. This is a good point but it doesn’t consider the original intention of whatever you are abusing, guns were created to kill, water exists to give and fuel life but both can be used to kill. This is a important distinction as it shows just how important moderation is, also showing that its not social media itself thats the problem, but rather the people abusing the tool given to them.
